Those things that go bump in the night?
Those are no frightening monsters. These are fangirls and fanboys, who pretend to be are mature, cultured, sophisticated and cool people during the day but at night, their true nature comes out and they cry, nomnomnom, flail, headdesk and go down with their ship(s). Unfortunately they are incapable of doing it quietly and thus they are the things going bump in the night.
